Kenya LTC 2014 - Host Church & TC Ministry Team

Truth Connect conducted a Leadership Training Conference (LTC) in Eldoret, Kenya October 22-25, 2014.  Word of Life Harvest Church and Bishop Chris Luswetti hosted the event that drew over 250 leaders from four countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Burundi.  The Truth Connect ministry team included Mr. William Thomas, Dr. David Pitkins, Mrs. Karen Schreier, and Dr. Donald Schreier.

Bishop Chris & Mrs. Tabitha Luswetti and family hosted the Truth Connect ministry team for lunch each in their home.  Tabitha is a great cook and wonderful hostess.

Mr. Bill Thomas, Dr. David Pitkins, Mrs. Karen Schreier, Dr. Donald Schreier take a day in Nairobi to adjust to the 7 hour time change before traveling on to Eldoret, Kenya.

Word of Life Harvest Church Worship & Education Center was the site for this year's LTC. The facility is located in Langas on the southern edge of Eldoret.

Advertising banners like this were hung on the local streets to alert the community to the coming conference.  

Truth Connect Ministry Team Set To Depart For Kenya - October 19, '14

Truth Connect is sending a ministry team of four to Kenya for its second annual Leadership Training Conference (LTC).  The team will depart from the USA on Sunday, October 19th and arrive in Eldoret, Kenya on Tuesday.  The LTC runs from Wednesday through Sunday (10/22-26).  Pastor Chris Luswetti and the Word of Life Harvest Church will again host the event; last year 230 leaders attended.  Pastor Luswetti believes there could be more than 300 participants this year!  Thank you for your prayers.  Thank you for supporting Truth Connect financially.  If you would like to help with the Kenya LTC by sponsoring a pastor or providing Bibles for those in need, you may give a tax-deductible gift either on-line at www.truthconnect.org or you can write a check to Truth Connect and send to Truth Connect, P.O. Dr. David Pitkins, a veteran Truth Connect trainer in a Haiti, will teach at the Kenya LTC.

Dr. Don & Mrs. Karen Schreier, Truth Connect founders, will both teach at the Kenya LTC.

Kenya LTC Host - Word of Life Harvest Church, Langas Eldoret

Truth Connect's Kenya Leadership Training Conference (LTC) was hosted by Word of Life Harvest Church, Langas, Eldoret.  Bishop Chris Lusweti and his wife Tabitha leads this church and its over 60 sister churches in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Pastor Chris and Tabitha worked long hours to make the LTC a great success.  They coordinated meals and housing for the 200 leaders in attendance.  They participated each day in the conference and taking care of the mission team.  And on top of it all, little Don became ill and had to spend a day in the hospital.  In spite of the many challenges, they did an incredible job of joyfully hosting the LTC.

The church is located on the edge of a slum known as Langas.  The property itself is approximately one acre in size, level.  Currently the church meets in a large tent.  The children's and youth's ministry takes place in a separate tent.

An outdoor kitchen was set-up.  Church members cooked daily for the 200 leaders.  A number of Truth Connect supporters helped to buy rice, beans, and other supplies to feed the leaders.
