Haitian Ambassador to the Bahamas, Antonio Rodrigue

Karen and I were in Nassau, Bahamas to help our good friend Pastor Cherelus Exante and his wife Anne celebrate his 40th anniversary in ministry on June 1, 2014 (see previous post).  Among those who participated the celebration service was the Haitian Ambassador to the Bahamas, Antonio Rodrigue.  Karen and I had the privilege of meeting the Ambassador and chatting with him.

At the anniversary service the Ambassador brought official greetings and had encouraging and kind words for Pastor Exante.  The Haitian Embassy recognizes Pastor Exante and New Haitian Mission Baptist Church's integral help and care of the Haitian community in the Bahamas.

New Haitian Mission Baptist Church Celebrates 25th Anniversary

     New Haitian Mission Baptist Church (NHMBC) celebrated its 25th anniversary with a week of services beginning September 30, 2012 at its Nassau, Bahamas headquarters.  Dr. Cherelus Exante founded NHMBC with just 10 members who met in a tent on Palm Beach Street in the heart of Nassau.  Now, a quarter of a century later, NHMBC includes more than fifty churches, ten schools, two orphanages in three countries (Bahamas, Haiti, USA).  God has blessed Bishop Cherelus Exante and his vision to reach the Haitian people with the gospel of Jesus Christ - wherever they live. 

    Dr. Donald Schreier, president of Truth Connect, conducted a week of Leadership Training at NHMBC that focused on Global Evangelism and Disciple-making.  He then delivered the message on Sunday, September 30 to kick-off the week long anniversary celebration.
