Pastor Willy - Committed!

Pastor Joseph Willy is committed!

Truth Connect was in Cap Haitien, Haiti for a Leadership Training Conference (LTC) in August.  Over 60 church and community leaders came from near and far to participate in the training.

Pastor Willy's attendance was an encouragement to all who were there.  Pastor Willy is crippled by MS.  It is very difficult for him to walk even short distances.  His primary means of movement is a hand-pedaled tricycle.

Pastor Joseph Willy hand-pedaled 5 miles to attend Leadership Training Conference.

Pastor Willy learned of the Truth Connect LTC and registered to participate.  The day before the conference started, he hand-pedaled his tricycle 5 miles from Cap Haitien to the small community of Limonade where the LTC was held.  Pastor Willy slept at the church for the week.  Each morning when the sessions began, there he was in the front row, dressed in his tie and ready to learn.

Pastor Willy is crippled but he is not helpless.  He has a sharp mind and a strong work ethic.  He carries a cooler on his tricycle that is loaded with iced drinks he sales to earn a living.  He provided drinks for our seminar participants.

Pastor Willy is committed.  He would not be deterred from attending the LTC.  He said it was worth hand-pedaling 5 miles in the hot sun to learn God's Word and principles to be a better leader.
