Streets of Port de Paix, Haiti

A Truth Connect ministry team of seven men were in Port de Paix, Haiti for a Leadership Training Conference (LTC) in April, 2014.   Traveling to Port de Paix from Port au Prince is at least a 6 hour over land, bumpy and dusty ride.  Once in the city of Port de Paix, things don't improve.  Most of the following pictures were taken by team member Jerry Whysong.

Vendors line both sides of the road.
A common means of transportation is the tap-tap; when it's time to stop the man "taps" the fender.

Most homes do not have running water - children must carry it.

No Walmart - only a road-mart.

Nearly all school children wear uniforms to school.

Many Haitian men earn a living moving goods via wheel barrow.
